20 Essential Werewolf Movies

In preparation for the release of The Wolfman next week, I have written an article which lists what I believe to be the twenty essential werewolf movies that every fan should attempt to have in their collection.

The Wolfman Returneth : Essential Werewolf Movies

Do you agree with my list? Read it and see!

I don't agree with all of your choices but you have covered the greats :-)

At first, I thought it was ordered by preference but I see they are chronological now.

I'd never call Teenwolf (and DFINITELY not Ladyhawke) an essential werewolf movie.

I'm up in the air about Abbott and Costello still.

Teenwolf and Ladyhawke (no really... ladyhawke is REALLY in your list. I am not making it up) but no Wolfen :-/

Ladyhawke is a contentious one apparently!

I guess it's a personal thing ... I used to watch that film a lot as a kid, so maybe I still somewhat view it through the eyes of an eight year old who thinks the sword fights are kinda cool.

Wolfen isn't on it because it isn't a werewolf movie! *grins*

Though technically, I should probably have left of "Brotherhood of the Wolf" too in that case ... oh well!

Pretty much agree.
I would have Frankenstein Meets The Wolf Man in there and remove Ladyhayke though.
Glad you put in Legend Of The Werewolf. (It's no1. on my list of "Films that should get a DVD release!".
Love your passion for this genre. Keep howling.
PS Howling 2 just for the t--s!!!
